A STRANGE LETTER arrived at WLW Central from the Robert Williams and Liam Gallagher Appreciation Society. Yukky.

THE FUTURE MRS ANT MC PARTIN (how original) was none too pleased to hear us dissing PJ & Duncan. Shame, shame...

ADAM ANT'S PRINCESS CHARMING kept getting called Bobby Charlton on hols in Greece. Now that is oddness itself.

TATH AND BOB are not quite at their best but we are glad to see them back in their rightful little hole.

SUPERMARKET REVIEW - SHOPPING TROLLEYS

The best trolleys I've ever come across are Sainsbury's. They go where you want to go and nowhere else.

The worst simply have to be Kwik Save. You have to put a pound coin in. It's dreadful when you haven't got one.

The wheels have a mind of their own, and everybody looks at you strangely as you go up the aisle knocking old grannies off their feet.

BRITSTOCK - LEEDS ROUNDAY PARK FESTIVAL

The bands were good, Salad were exceptional. Sleeper were excellent - the crowd tried a human pyramid during Disco Duncan.

Pulp were Kings (and Queen) of the day but it was the vibe that was the best thing - a real sense of togetherness was felt among the 60,000+ people.

The uniting of the nation's Indie kids! A beautiful day was had by all.

What is this? Are you lot saying

A RANT OF EPIC PROPORTIONS

Little did I know, but my applying for university was pure futility.

The Government have decided the best, nay only, way of my going on to further education is to get a full-time job during my degree course.

This will save them loads of money on grants and earn them some from the loan I will most certainly have to take out. All this hassle just to go on the dole once I finish.

Lentils Taste Naff

It may be futile, naff even, but you'll

FIST OF FUN LIVE - COVENTRY

This show contained some of the best material from the TV series, plus a lot of new jokes and improvisations.

Best bits were Simon Quinlank and his flask of weak lemon drink, The Town Mouse and the Man, hearing Stew actually laugh (sweet!) and getting their autographs.

The only let down - no Peter - he "got his head stuck down a toilet".
