ABOUT SCHOOL UNIFORMS

It's all very well standing up for your rights about individuality, but school uniforms can be a good thing.

In my sixth form, we are free to wear what we like but it's more hassle than privilege. We voted back uniforms so we didn't have to decide what to wear every day.

And what about music? Today's old folk have their golden oldies, but will we be blasting out Heavy Metal/Rave/Rap when we're 84?

It's hard to imagine it.

Weirdo Magnet.

P.S. Old people are cool, especially my Nan.

DEAR 'ZINESTERS

Is it me, or has the age-old pastime of reading been dying out? Now we are only into dolling ourselves up, going out and getting drunk.

That's fine, but it's just as good to curl up with a good book. Reading expands the mind and exercises the imagination.

And you don't get a hangover or liver damage.
