Obscure Indie Boy

Don't forget yourself, boyo!

WE'RE OH-SO-GLAD WE DISCOVERED YOU!!

GIG REVIEW: MADNESS at FINSBURY PARK, LONDON

Once again, the Nutty Boys from Camden Town were back at Finsbury Park - and what a show it was!

Supported by the Tyrell Corp, Credit to the Nation, Aswad, the mighty Buzzcocks and the brilliant Ian Dury, this was the best day of my life.

And the crowd was ecstatic. Please don't go lads, we love you too much!

RudeyModdySkaBoy, Camden Town

They CAN'T do it again next year!

WE SAW IT FIRST TIME ROUND - WAS FAB

DEAR 'ZINE,

I agree that most chart rave is decidedly drivel, but so is most chart rock.

Real fans of each genre prefer less popular groups who stick to their roots and don't follow trends. Chartravers have probably never heard of Ratpack and PSI etc.

If they started listening to Carl Cox, they could help destroy rock faster.

The Captain of the Ship

So, are "real" fans more obscure?

REPLY TO ANGRY MISS, DARTFORD

I agree, it takes some amount of skill to play a musical instrument. And there's more to rave music than drum beats!

But you also need skill and intelligence to be able to programme a track into a computer and then play it live.

Ravin' Mad Looney, Birmingham

Computers are fools! Luddites unite!!!

YOU'D HAVE TO BE MAD - A SUCKER!!

DEAR 'ZINEE,

I can just about put up with Take That and Bad Boys Inc...

But I draw the line when PJ and Duncan reach #10 in the charts!

Are we supposed to take these two bad Newcastle actors and even worse "pop stars" seriously?

Please, teenyboppers all over Britain, SORT IT OUT!!!

A Girl Named Sandoz

Mmmmm, got a point there!

DEAR 'ZINE

Can we argue about something different? Okay, music's great, but to argue about it endlessly is tedious as people's tastes don't change.

Let's argue about football or films...

I'd like to start off by saying that Robert De Niro is the greatest screen actor in the world, in my opinion. So, what does everybody else think?

Barry Norman's Son

Why is Mr Norman THE authority?

YEAH!! WHO MADE HIM WORLD MOVIE GOD?
