A PLOT FOR EASTENDERS
Mandy and Aiden manage to buy a camping stove for their squat. When Mandy is out, Aiden decides to cook on the gas stove and in the process either gases himself or blows himself up.
About a week after his funeral, I turn up in Albert Square and become Mandy's new boyfriend and we live happily ever after.
I don't dislike Aiden, but I do think he is one lucky chap!

ODE TO ROBERT SMITH (OF THE CURE)
Smudged of lipstick
And unruly of barnet
How wonky you sing
And dance around the place
Your songs are a gloom-fest so
You're never in the charts
With your voluminous jumpers
And enormous trainers
You look like a prat
But you're lovely really.
The Drowning Man, Gatwick
Ah, don't you just love these odes?!!?!
LIVE REVIEW: EDDIE IZZARD at THE BECK THEATRE, HAYES
The Guardian calls him the funniest man in Britain - they're not wrong. Eddie and his assistant Dominic Holland captivated the audience for over two hours with some brilliant, bristling material.
His lackadaisical style is wonderful to watch as he passes on from subject to subject.
If he's performing near you, see him or miss out.

Don't forget your handle next time, Un!
I'M ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!!!
OK. Look, I'm sorry I cussed you non-rave fans. SORRY! I love all music, I am NOT narrow-minded, I'm just the normal guy who writes to the 'Zine with his opinions.
Can you all understand that? Am I using too many long words for you? I bet Mega-zine won't even print this - well I don't care!
I've had enough. I'm never writing to the 'Zine again, EVER.

Flood Mega-zine with letters of support.

PLAY REVIEW: NIGHTFRIGHT at THE GRAND THEATRE, WOLVERHAMPTON, OCT 2
Complete with the customary thunder and lightning, this contemporary horror story told of a sinister doctor wreaking a vindictive revenge upon a pair of innocent newlyweds.
Though enjoyable and well-acted, the play lacked originality and certainly failed to live up to its billing as "terrifying".
The ending was also disappointingly cliched. AND I dropped all my wine gums!
Leigh Rowley, West Midlands
OH NO! NOT THE WINE GUMS! QUEL HORREUR!
