I love Boddingtons, Manchester

Dear Mega-zine,

Let's get one thing clear - Gothism is not a fashion. It's not simply a change of clothing and a couple of posters. Gothism is an attitude that cannot be acquired overnight.

It really annoys me to see people in black wearing "I Love Cure" T-shirts calling themselves Goths, since that frankly embarrassing TV programme "Naked City" was broadcast. STOP IT!

Charles Baudelaire, Cardiff

They're giving you a bad image, huh?

ALBUM REVIEW: MURMUR by REM

This was REM's debut album and was simply outstanding - especially the first half. Despite Stipe's somewhat mumbled vocals, the songs don't suffer as the melodies are simply delicious.

My favourite tracks are "Laughing", "Perfect Circle" and "Shaking Through".

If you're into REM but haven't got this, get to the shops and buy it. You can get the CD for under a tenner.

Wendell Gee, Half a World Away

Bet you're a shiny, happy person!

So what do you relax to, Nige...?

DON'T YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN...

  1. Blokes with long hair decide to have it cut.
  2. You read a review of an album before you've actually heard it.
  3. You start reading a page of teletext and it changes before you finish it.
  4. Blokes grow sideburns.

Gilby's New Corvette, Bucks

Nice and original - soz about the cuts!

LIFE REVIEW - MADONNA'S GIRLIE SHOW at Wembley Stadium

Well, what can I say? Amazing, over the top, wonderful, very Madonna. In short, the show was brilliant.

Old songs like Holiday and La Isla Bonita were great to see and newies like Erotica were stunning.

Topless dancers and sexy acts made the show very risque. Mega.

Madonna's No 1 fan, Aaron Madiera

Erm, you liked it then...
