SMALL MERCIES Oh mercy, mercy me — things ain't what they used to be. Classical music with Vanessa May and Nigel Kennedy? What happened to unaffected pure performance? Gone Orff!

NINJA BEEKEEPER will soon be upon us. I'm sure you are aware of his imminent return. It is not too late to beg his forgiveness. Or what, you'll get hives?

THE WONDER The 'Zine of 1997 is not as good as 1996. This is due to the fact that there are only five pages, and there are too many poems. Ode dear!

'ZINERS AND WLW

Firstly, I'd like to say what a load of rubbish you are all writing in with lately. Don't you know how to write a decent letter?

I mean, Demona, what was your love analysis all about? WLW, you should be ashamed for printing this stuff!

I'd also just like to mention how bad all the letter writers' names are. Where do these people get them?

Bobble Hat

Who are you to oppress the pens of Zine?

YOU'RE NOT BIG NOR BALA-CLAVA!!!

SILVER BULLET

"Women and rational thought don't mix."

Wow. Is this your personal view or an attempt to stir up a reaction. Either way, it's been done before; the first for the last few thousand years, the second on Backchat a few months ago.

Sorry to crush your ego, but I'm sure you'll grace us with some more pearls of wisdom soon. How about your views on world politics or even whether or not you show your support for the campaign to rid the world of brown cars?

Repackaged Love

I agree. Bullet, bigots like yourself

SHOULD SPEND LIFE BEHIND BRAS!

U.F.O.

I am extremely bored of Earth! My alien friends (the ones we abducted) go on vacation to Alpha Centauri every summer. They say it's really cool.

This seems like my only chance to go there for a holiday. As long as I can continue to read the 'Zine whilst I am on board then I would be glad to go.

I'm also looking for a drummer as our other ran of with a Tom.

THE GIRL WHO LOVES 42

There are drummers on Alpha Centauri.

THEY'RE OUT OF THIS WORLD!

DEAR 'ZINE

I thought I'd better warn everyone about the dangerous messages in songs like Kill Your Parents (The Pin Ups) and Death To Everyone (Urusei Yatsura).

Surely this is a bad example to teenagers. But wait, here come the Teletubbies to save the day, resembling large bean-bags tripping on acid.

We're all doomed.
