Isn't it strange that when people go on the Supermarket Sweep trolley run and knock something on the floor, they usually pick it up and put it back on the shelf?
They would be far better off putting the floored item in their trolley, since they would then get its value at the end. What mugs they all are!

In your letter about the Spice Girls, you imply girls in general worship feeble boy bands. This in not the case.
Most of my friends and I agree the majority of boy bands are completely rubbish and talentless, as are the Spice Girls.
If you must worship anyone can't they be cool and talented? Then I wouldn't be as annoyed.

Why do we have to adopt these silly names when we write in? I feel a complete idiot calling myself after James Iha's dog, but what can I do?
I think names should be allocated to us by you according to the quality of our letters. Hence, I would be called God's Identical Twin and AFKA Gonzo would be called something totally unprintable.

Let's praise strong female role models on TV. For example, I choose Agent Scully (The X Files) and Captain Janeway (Star Trek: Voyager).
Scully's brill because she goes in dark and dangerous places by herself and has no fear of shooting monsters. She's also an intelligent scientist.
Janeway's also great. She firmly controls HER starship!
