REVIEW OF BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA

This is written as journals, which I find really stupid. I mean, if you had your life threatened by undead creatures of the night, would you:

A) Sit down and quietly write about it?
B) Try and escape?

Well, Jonathan in the book carries on living with the Count. Apart from that minor hitch, it's quite good really.

A FAIRY STORY

"I've got an idea," said John to Dave."

Let's start up a business. We'll take one line from a well-known tune.

"We'll repeat it lots of times, really fast and at the end we'll get all of our mates to shout 'Jungle-ist Posse!' down a microphone."

"It'll never work," said Dave, "People aren't that stupid."

MY SO-CALLED LIFE

Having seen the first series on RTE (Irish TV), it is my duty to tell all 'zinesters about a top teen programme. It revolves around Angela Chase (an average teen) and her friends.

Every teen storyline you've ever heard is in it and it has that Thirty-something style which means it has the right blend of weird and real stuff.

If you've got a pulse, watch it.

You can learn more about American current affairs from this programme than you could from CNN.

AN AMAZING DISCOVERY

Brookie's Rosie Banks and The Street's Liz MacDonald are one and the same.

They both:

  • Have sons who work in a pub or club
  • Lost a baby
  • Have long, curly, ginger hair
  • Have two sons
  • Wear clothes 20 years too young for them
  • Look uncannily similar
