PEAHEAD would like to say what a good player Southampton's David Hughes is.

TATH AND BOB say they can't exchange petty insults anymore - go ahead boys see if we care!

JOHNNY SOMBRERO thinks the Elastica album is Blondie meets the Sex Pistols.

LITTLE INDIE FISH asks why is rave music so damn popular? - beats me.

RENEGADE TIMELORD wants Dr Who back on our screens. Do you agree?

SHORT AND SWEET CUTS LET YOU SAY

DEAR ZINE

Whilst surfing through the pages of Teletext I came across the TV ratings of Channel 4 and near the top was Countdown.

I can only come to two conclusions:

  1. There are a lot of saddo losers out there who actually watch Countdown.
  2. The teenage population is paging Zine as soon as they get home at the time Countdown is on.

For the sake of the country

LET'S HOPE THEY'RE PAGING ZINE

KIT REVIEW - MAN UTD'S 3RD

An elegant combination of sparkling pristine white and sumptuous, shining navy blue. The two colours alternate in a kind of vertical stripe design.

The yellow motifs, front and back, make a stark contrast to the subtle tones previously... hang on, Man U 3rd kit?

I could've sworn I just described the Sheffield Wednesday kit. Well copying is the greatest form of flattery, yes?

TV REVIEW - THE WHITE ROOM, CH4

It's about time we got a decent, live music show, on telly. This show is ace.

For a start, Mark Radcliffe presents it and with groups like Sleeper, Elastica, Pulp and Portishead already featured, and Paul Weller and Oasis still to come what more could you want?

If you've got a life and go out on a Saturday night, it's repeated on Wednesday, so you've no excuse!

The Vinyl Junkie

I'll be tuning in on WEDNESDAY then!
