DEAR 'ZINE,
I am becoming a tad miffed at the constant pigeon-holing of Crowded House as MOR or AOR. I know for a fact that they have a wide-ranging-fan base spanning various musical tastes and age ranges.
Certain so-called journos should get their facts straight. Real MOR or AOR is the likes of Phil Collins and Eric Clapton.
Leave the Crowdies alone! Why should they be defined?

PUNCH DRUNK
In regard to the latest spate of punch-ups (Oasis in Newcastle and Courtney Love punching David Gedge at Reading), I believe Courtney and Oasis should be put in a ring together, with various sharp objects and blunt instruments.
Then decent bands and musicians can get on with their jobs without fear of violence from audiences or untalented, workshy fobs from their profession.

ALBUM REVIEW - ROGER TAYLOR - HAPPINESS
Best known for being the (ex?) Queen drummer, this is Roger's third and strongest album to date.
Featuring 12 songs, including the controversial Nazis 1994, Roger plays drums, guitar, and sings.
Among the many highlights are The Key and Loneliness. This brilliant album should elevate Roger as a superstar in his own right!

DEAR 'ZINE,
I am so tired of turning on to Megazine and finding some sad bimbos who have somehow found the brain power to put pen to paper and write a top ten of love songs for when they have broken up with their boyfriends.
The thing I find so sad and unjust is REM's Everybody Hurts is there all the time. REM are far too good to be loved for one song by pathetic townies.
So, to all you lovesick girlies, wise up!
