GIG REVIEW: CROWDED HOUSE

This must have been one of the best gigs I have ever been to. Not only do Crowded House play excellent, faultless music, but the band members are lively, funny and genuine, and enjoy involving the audience as much as possible.

They are complete all-round entertainers, especially Neil Finn and Nick Seymour. Mark Hart as usual stole the limelight with his soulful guitar.

We just wanted to bid a tearful farewell to the Stuffies and thank them for years of superb music. Who can fault Eight Legged Groove Machine, Hup, Construction or the Modern Idiot and Never Loved Elvis?

We count ourselves lucky that we shall witness their final live performance at the Phoenix Festival.

The question is, why did they only have one Number One?
