Let me put a few points straight. It was Nick who made the Michael Stipe comments. Not because of a vendetta against REM, but to hit out at the hypocrisy that exists.
So many nobodies are dying of Aids without being given a second thought, but when a big name is affected - World Aids Day and hyperbolic benefit gigs.
It isn't vengeful vitriol as I like REM as do the Manics.
