LIVE REVIEW: JEAN MICHEL JARRE in MANCHESTER

From the coolest entrance I've ever seen to the humungous amount of fireworks, this was a mega-concert.

The music was loud and the laser show was magnificent. What more can I say? Marks out of 10 - I give it 12!

Utterly brilliant.

Shirley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire

So was it any good? Don't mince words!

THE 'ZINE WILL EAT LONG LETTERS!

TO THE HUGE TT FAN

So you don't like people slagging off TT in the 'Zine. That's cool - in fact, I agree with you - I'm a pretty big fan of the lads myself.

BUT people are entitled to their opinions y'know and Mega-zine would be well boring if it weren't for the great letters and Top Tens that get sent in.

Give people the respect they deserve and let them like what they want.

A Broad-minded Music Lover, Bucks

Well boring? Don't let it happen, guys!

SO TAKE THAT AND PARTY!!!

LIVE REVIEW: BIG SISTER MIDNIGHT at CHERRIES, SOUTHEND

In a year full of rave and guitar pop, Big Sister Midnight are like a long-awaited fresh wind. This unknown group packed out a very intimate club.

Julie Starkey has a strange, beautiful voice like Kate Bush and Billie Holiday.

They are the most original group I've seen and their songs send you to a different dimension. BRILLIANT!

LIVE REVIEW: LUKE GOSS AND THE BAND OF THIEVES at MARKEATON PARK, DERBY

What a performance! It was 40 minutes of excellent live rock music which the audience loved.

They were worked up into a near frenzy by Luke whose live singing debut was spectacular. It was as if he'd been singing for years!

Each song was powerful and lyrically perfect. I can't wait for the tour!
